Master of sports of international class Tatiana Popova possessed a rare combination for gymnastics – a difficult style of technique and accurate feeling of the apparatus. Purity and confidence allowed Tatiana make the audience watch her routine arduously. Unsurpassed feminity, piquancy and grace of the gymnast conquered both the judges and spectators. Brought up in the best traditions of the “Deriugins’ School”, she was constantly polishing her masterpiece. Spectators marked Popova out on all the competitions : her routines attracted their attention thanks to the deep expression and melodiousness.

Already on her first major competition, junior European Championship 1993, Tatiana announced herself as a perspective gymnast. Together with her teammates Inga Kovalchuk and Viktoria Stadnik, she become the bronze medal winner in team event. Perharps, she could not even imagine at that time that in 2 years she will reapeat this sucess, but on the senior World Championship. The individual award was added to the team success : in the final in clubs routine Tatiana earned the 3^rd place. And for the debutant of such prestigious competition it was a huge sucess!

Tatiana was finishing her sports carreir in group event, where she became a certain leader of the Ukrainin team. She was standing on the award podiums of the World and European Championships with them. Unfortunately, the group gymnasts did not pass the selection for the Olimpic Games. Despite clean performances on the World Championship 1999, Ukraine turned out to be in 9^th place in the final results. Tatiana retired from the sports, but the fans of rhythmic gymnastics have remembered her delicate and tender soul, that she was opening in her individual routine, and clear-cut assumption of the group event.
